Rothley Ivanhoe Tennis Club boasts a full coaching schedule run by head coach, Tim Stanton.

Tim has been Head Coach at the club for over 5 years, and since his arrival has made a significant impact on both the overall coaching and standard of play in the club. Tim's 12 + years experience in tots, schools, junior, adult and performance coaching makes him a great asset to the club. He has played a huge part in the expansion of junior members and coaching, and is keen to provide them with all the opportunities to play tennis - from coaching to competitive tennis - even setting up a junior club championship to run alongside the main event this year. Whatever your standard of play or age, Tim has the experience and skill to get you wherever you want to be! He is available for group and individual private sessions. Ed is an LTA Level 3 Coach working for GSM Leisure.

He started playing tennis at the age of 8 and fell in love with sport right away. He later moved to Spain aged 14 to attend the Academia Sanchez-Casal, the same place at which Andy Murray trained.  He spent 4 years there combining academics with full-time training/competing. After Spain he secured a tennis scholarship to attend university in the U.S. where he graduated with a Degree in Business Management. He has been coaching for the last 3 years full-time and has recently moved to the area. He has previously coached all age groups and abilities and looks forward to getting started at Rothley!
